Apple Harvest, Pissarro

This is one of the painter's most colorful paintings, the technique is almost pointillist, reminiscent of Seurat. It constructs with thousands of color spots, a landscape on the top of a hill where 4 women and a young man work in the gathering. The curved horizon gives the work an exquisite dynamic where the elements: characters, trees, baskets, carriage, shadow, and light; are enveloped in the harmony typical of rural life.
