Futurist painting painted by Depero in 1917-18 and currently preserved in Rovereto at the Mart (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto). In the painting, a ballerina in motion is depicted. The dance, increasingly faster, generates flashes of bright colors: red, yellow, blue, etc., thus achieving a fusion between the dancer and the large parrots that accompany her.
Without a doubt, it is a theme strongly influenced by Depero's experience as a set designer and costume designer. Theater, in fact, was another field that absorbed him during his career, and we see it return in the work, specifically his work for the "Ballets Russes" and the "Plastic Ballets" performed with puppets.
