Nature is always a reflection of ourselves; thus, its processes are great windows through which we can peer to find a metaphysical horizon. “Un curso a la orilla” presents the riverbank of a river, tinged by the evolution of seasonal colors, as a bucolic chromatic allegory of the passage of time, which continues and will continue its course in an unstoppable and omnipotent way.

Like the river in the image, life never ceases to flow. This canvas offers us a relaxed, reflective, and synthetic vision of the action of our vital clock, embodied in nature, which makes humanity aware of the passage of the seasons.
