The Cliffs at Étretat, Monet

Seascape painted in oil in 1885, is an impressionist work by Claude Monet. The views are real and are located in the French city of Étretat, where on its coast these spectacular rock formations are found, this particular one is a stone arch that at that time, and to this day continues to attract tourists. One of the particularities of the viewpoint chosen by Monet is that one can only get to this portion of the beach by boat or by walking down very steep terrains. The afternoon sun rays shine directly only on a portion of the landscape, giving the work a beautiful effect. It currently belongs to the extensive collection of impressionist art at the Clark Art Institute in Massachusetts, USA.
